Lost DVD Remote for '06 M35

Hello All,

This is my first post, a question about replacing the rear DVD remote for an '06 M35. I bought the car used from a dealer, and the previous owner must have not returned it with the headphones and remote. So, before they sold it to me, they must have called Infiniti to order new headphones and a remote. Well, the headphones work great, but the remote is for a different model Nissan/Infiniti, as it doesnt work at all in my car. I know I can buy replacement remotes specifically for my car (even on ebay), but my question is this.

Has anyone ever gotten a universal remote to work for the DVD in the M35?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I had almost the same case. I bought a 2006 M45 and the DVD remote and headphones came with it. But it was the wrong remote. I checked with a dealer and it's $230 for a new one. I bought one on eBay for $40 and it works perfectly. The eBay store was glamouraccesories, in case the link below doesn't work.

No doubt there's a way to get a universal remote to work but I doubt if it would be worth the effort.
