So i lost my crank pulley... i was getting ready to resasseble my motor and i can find the damned pulley. Anyone know where i can get a new one? I searched the forums but all i can find is discussion about people wanting lightened/underdrive ones and then other people just buying used ones from other members. I'm looking to get a brand spanking new one if anyone can help. I would think one off of a usdm ca18de would work but forgive my stupidity if that's not the case. Thanks much.

you can use one off a ca18de, but it only drives 2 belts. itll be fine if you arent running a/c i think. it may require some moving of the p/s pump but i dont know for sure, as ive never had this problem. you could always go and buy some aftermarket ones off ebay, but i cannot attest to their quality.

just curious as to how you lost something that big and heavy. it has to be around there somewhere, look again!

i was unaware that they made aftermarket crank pulley's for the CA. Are they solid or an actual harmonic dampener? because i'im 99% sure that the ca18det requires a harmonic dampener.

I'm pretty sure I have a couple laying around, on 2 belt and one 3.

IDK, if you're going to get a brand new one man.

The problem with the FWD pulley is that on the FWD CA the PS pump and Alt are on opposite sides of the motor. with the way they ran the crank pulley there is only 2 spots for belts. I would doubt that a FWD pulley would work, but I've never tried it, so I don't know.

All the Datsun boys use the FWD pulley, because it's low profile for better radiator clearance. Also because Datsuns don't need/use A/C and P/S pulleys.

I believe this is going into an S13, so it'll prob need the PS pulley. Unless he fabricated a custom bracket to mount the pump to the block, he'd need the RWD pulley.
