ok so i start my car(91 240sx) up in the morning and it runs fine, then when it gets warmed up i have no power from around 2500 rpms and up i can barely accelerate at all. iv checked my mafs hooked took it to a shop hooked it up to a scanner and it didnt throw any codes, no check engine light, nothing i cant figure it out and neither could the shop i took it to. my engine is totally stock except a cold air intake so no recent mods it just started doing it one day. also i put a vlsd out of a j30 in with the 5 bolt axles and ever since the camber has been off my back right tire and it keeps making my wheel bearing go bad. iv gone threw about 4 now and getting alligment done they couldnt get it straight either. i cant find anything bent or anything out of place. i thought about buying some adjustable camber arms but im not sure if that will fix it all the way so any help here with either of my problems will helpfull. thanks

have you done a basic tune up? new plugs and wires, new oil and oil filter, new air filter, etc

First thing to check is your engine timing.

sorry i havnt been on in a while. i change my oil everything 2500 to 3000 miles, havnt put new sparkplug wires but i have put new spark plugs in. i dont think its the timing because it runs great cold then crappy warmed up. one weird thing is i drove from bend the other day which is about 20 miles from my house and it drove good all the way home. i was going about 70 the whole way and i had my air on hot but not on if that could make a difference. i think maybe my vlsd is going bad and when it heats up something is happening in there. so im gana check that out.

Oregon is good the weather has been nice and sunny not to hot. where did you live in Oregon?

your cambers might be off because you have the 5 bolt axles instead of the 2x3bolt alxles. find a 240sx w/ vlsd and do a swap, or just take the axles.

Is the power loss only occuring when it's warmed up?

possibly a vacume line with the intake butterfly thingys..possibly..like it might be restricting your intake when you warm up..or maybe you need a better M.A.F.,,i dunno..just throuin idea's at ya.

good luck

i have a vlsd and the wheel bearings didnt start going bad untill i put it in, and the 6 bolt axles. but i have checked everything tore it all apart put it back together and tore it all apart again so i just bought some megan camber arms hopefully that will do the trick.

this is the same problem Im having in mine. completely stock engine, no mods runs great in the mornings and at night but during the day when it heats up it runs like crap. I got smoked by a honda civic on the highway the other day , unacceptable. I changed the plugs, wires ,distributor rotor and cap, fuel filter and injectors. pump is less that a year old. stumped...

i would definitly check your O2 sensor, your Coolant temp sensor, i would then proceed to fully cleaning your MAF, if you hadn't done that already, and if that didn't work, i would check your catalytic converter to see if it is clogged. a good rule of thumb is to check all the little things, plugs (Gap them correctly), cap, rotor, etc... one more thing. you might go down to your local parts store and see if they can test your coil. heat causes resistance in electrical components which robs you of power. any NAPA store should have a tester. good luck.

well I got alot of other crap going on but it seemed to help for a minute. I like to keep all that exhaust out of my intake anyways. probably impossible to remove EGR with intake still on car though. Had to cut the lines too, rusted over. the resistor I plugged into the egr solenoid is messing with the idle, but no big deal.
