Loss of power????????

I finally got my 91 to run like it is supposed to, but when I used a different source for the fuel (Wal-Mart), my car has no power anywhere in the band, and it idles funny. Can this be caused solely by poor quality gas? I am hesitant to say, because right after I filled up, I flogged the poop out of the poor KA. I think maybe I effed it up, like burned a ring, but I am not smoking. And I DO have oil in it. I usually run BP, but walmart had premium for $2.54 vs $3.29. It was unreal, you had to wait for 45 minutes at the pump. If I drain the tank and refill with my usual fuel, will this fix my problem? Car is very jerky at lower RPMs 2-4k, and has 30-50% less power than 2 days ago. When at rest and I mat the throttle, RPMs do not rise nearly as fast. Someone help, please.

wal-mart, albertsons and the like use ****ty gas. my car ran like crap the ONLY time i ever put wal mart/sams club gas in it. i drove around and burned off the tank and put my regular fuel of choice into it, it ran fine. i have never used anything else since.

it may not be all wal-marts, they obviously get their gas from different providers, refineries etc... but after that crap im not willing to let it happen again. its like they water that crap down and all the fuel grades come from the same tank or some cost-cutting bs.
