loss of power in my 1992 240sx coupe ka24de

when i accelarate it has a huge loss in power but sometimes kicks in! when it first starts up and is cold sometimes the power is all there but other times its not? i have replaced plugs, wires , fuel filter. i take very good care off this car and i just cant figure it out anny suggestions would help ! ( help please this is causing losses to stock old civics lol?

check to see if your throttle body and cable are still functioning properly.

check your fuel pump it might be getting worn out due to age or your cap/rotor could be going bad

check your injectors for a torn o-ringcould be a misfire

i tried to check the injectors but those damn phillips head screws are stuck! i tried pb blaster but that didnt do anything. if i could get them off i would replace them with a hex head bolt or something. im kinda scared to f something up really bad

here is a trick i used to find my faulty injector without taking any out/off...

while the car is idling, pull the harness off injector #1... hopefully the car will almost die. continue with the other 3. if you pull the wiring harness off an injector and you dont notice any real change, it could be that injector!

ok so i tried what you suggested with the injectors and all four were ok! i am starting to think it might be a bad fuel pump. this weekend i plan on replacing the rotor and cap/ plugs

this seems to be a common problem with old nissans mine does it sometime also.

I was wondering if anyone had any new thoughts at what could be causing this...seeing that my 93 is doing the same thing...1st gear is the worst but its mmainly like bogging or misfiring at aroung 4500-6K..its like it wants to complete the shift and rev higher but it doesnt, it will struggle for more power, which is leading me to check the injectors and tomorrow and see what the prob. is...ive already replaced f.f., plugs,i. manifold gaskets..

any others ideas would be sweet....

p.s I just want to fix this because it seems that me and 40.5sst are in the same boat b/c I too have been loosin to shady civics...it sucks before i had this car i had a 90 hatch with an SR n would kill civics na and boosted all day..but now i have this problem wit this car and the other day i was stopped at a light when a civic wit an exhaust pulled up..i knew he wanted to go n this was before the whole issue with it bogging started..neways I lauched his ace then got into 5-6 k and it bogged i clearly had the win going for me but the issue started and he pulled by...The funniest thing is that he thought he actaully had a chance soo he puts his flasers on like he won...*uck HONDAs

i agree man sh*t happens to me all day everyday now when they f wit me i just accelarate like normal they get pissed lol i just lmao.............. Anyways i have checked every thing i could think of or that has been suggested. still no LUCK i think i might buy my buddies ka24de off him for 200 bucks it only has 80,000 miles . im sick off trying stuff that does'nt work
