Today I sprayed half a can of throttle body cleaner into my throttlebody to clean it out. I started the engine, and obviously I had to pump the gas to get it to run. On my way home, I had no accleration at wot. What do u guys think is wrong with my car??Did i screw something up, my throttle body was all corroded with nasty gunk in it.

Ok, you sprayed, but did you wipe the stuff down/out?

If not, that stuff may still be circulating through your system.

Just making sure. You shouldn't get loss of power, but easier time pressing throttle...

When you cleaned out your throttle body, did you take your intake apart? Put everything back in tight and secure and to the right parts?

THat happend to me when I cleaned my TB out. I can't remember exactly what I did but I think I took everything apart and cleaned it. Then I put it back together and let it run for about 10 min. It wasn't really serious.

yeah whenever you are using carb cleaner or seafoam, after you stop trailing smoke check your plugs. most cases, especially after using seafoam youll need to replace or clean them.
