loss of power/boost

wonder if anyone can help, i have a 1995 200Sx ( austalian delivery ).. just last night a weird thing has ocurred, under full acceleration just over 3200rpm the normal power does not kick in... i can hear a noise like rushing air from the engine as the revs climb past 3200 or so it gets louder the higher the revs, it sounds like its comming from the same are as the blow off valve.. have i just got a leak in a hose or could it be the BOV leaking.. this is my first turbo and thought it an idea to ask rather than head straight to the mechanic ( who is on holidays for the next 7 days ) thanks mates any help appreciated.g

We don't get 95 200sx's in the US but it sounds as if the blow off valve could be leaking or the hoses between the turbo and intake could be leaking. If the blow off valve is leaking check to see if the waste gate at the turbo is functioning properly.

Your gasket between the turbo and manifold is leeaking. If you remove all covers you might be able to feel if all 4 bults are in place. They tend to fall off..

The gasket is cheep, but there is quite som work changing it.
