Until resently, I thought my 92Q was the bomb. But then, I rode in my grandmas pristine 95 300zx TT. We took it for a few freeway rides, I all I could think was "I have to get one of these". I knew they were fast, but wow. The 300 felt way more powerful than the Q ever has. we went from 30 to 80 in about 3-4 seconds. The best I ever did in the Q, was 5 seconds. Please give me your unbiased opinions, "Is the 1995 300zx TT a better sports car than the 1992 Q45?" I know the Q45 is more luxurious than the 300, but I want the sportiest car. Please help me

Well DUH the Z cars are going to be more of a sports car than the Q...

THe Q is a PERFORMANCE LUXURY SEDAN (read SEDAN), the Z is a SPORTY PERFORMANCE COUPE!!!!!

I think whta your forgetting is what hte Q is designed for... Performance with a goldne ride, some handling, and just an overall cruiser, not to be tight, nimble, rough and FAAST.....

If you want a sporty car go with the 300zx but I would stil keep my Q for the road trips....

I like the overall feel of the Q, but riding in the 300z was a total adrenaline rush. and the ride wasn't that harsh

There are lots of better sports cars, and (almost) all of them only have 2 doors.

If you want a list of nice "sports cars" I'm sure we can put together a list of them for you.

Sounds like you have the best of both worlds, you own the Q and can drive the 300ZX TT :D.

When was any Q45 a sports car? It's a sedan!

It's like asking why an apple doesn't taste like an orange.

Put 2 turbos on the Q and then see how they stack up.

I can't just slap TT on the Q, a whole system has to be fabricated for it. I really like the idea that if I got a 300zx TT, to get better perfprmance, all I have to do is turn up the boost. And grandma is pretty hip. She knows that the 300 is a cool car, so, she wont sell or trade it. Can you guys give me the pros and cons of the 300zx vs. the Q45. I can only afford to own one of them at a time right now.

Basicly what and who you can carry. All the "reasons" of each car have been listed. If you want a sport car to drive around then get the Z. The Q is your errand car. It can get the grocerys, take the kids to soccer practice with style, and still be blingin ;). The z car is fast, great handling and a panty dropper.

On another topic, can you guys give me your opinions on the Skyline Sedans vs. Q45. I haven't figured out which Skyline series has the sedan in it, but I've seen it, and it would seem to be a perfect replacement for the Q45. Any thoughts?

He's posted interest in a 300Z TT for sale on here, he's made up his mind, so let's show our support.

If you don't need the extra doors or space, then by all means go lighter/quicker.

My brother owns a 97 supra turbo and a friend owns a (94 maybe? i cant remember) 300z turbo. The supra is faster, but I find the 300 to be funner... dont know why. Both great cars, but I plan to stay in the Nissan family for years to come.

Irrelevant, since you can't get one in the US (legally) anyway.

Well, I suppose you COULD, but if you could afford to do that, you'd just go buy a Z and keep the Q anyway.

I know what you are talking about. When I drove my friends WRX, I thought the same thing.

The Q is a great all around car. If it had the power of the M5 or AMG line of vehicles, you probably wouldn't lust for those two door sports cars. It really all boils down to power.

My dream to have the ultimate sleeper is to have a twin turbo Q.. And on the trunk have a very sleek Q45tt... Have stock-ish rims and no other obvious mods...

Haha the demons of disconent!!

Actually for my needs the Q is fast enough.. I wouldnt mind a little extra power but im already scared enough of getting another ticket... plus I dont drive REAL fast, like getting up to Mr. Washington fast (ok but with not much change with that)... JWT ECU and exhaust might be the ticket!

It would be ncie to be faster but IMHO the Qs stock (ish) power makes it fine for me.. If I had another Q and a much fatter pocket book a project Q that would SCREAM would be GOLDEN...

ive only had my q for 2 weeks. Cant be discontent yet!

And Ive always had an eye for a real sports coupe, just too impractical for me right now as a college student. Once im making bling it will be time to increase my nissan family.

You sound like a young guy, go and buy yourself a sports car. I have a 1984 300ZX, not that fast but handles VERY well with my mods. In any case I bought it new and still have it...nothing like the feeling of a sports car versus a LARGE sedan like your driving now. The Z is perfect for weekends and fun in the twisty roads.

If you're in your 20's go get yourself a Turbo Z or Supra, both nice cars and have fun before wives, mortgages, and other crap prevent you from buying one later on...better yet get Granny's!
