I mentioned before that I got my car to start. Well today I try to rev it up a little and after about a seconds I lose all power. I have no tach (we still have no idea why it doesnt work) so Im not sure the exact RPM. It smells like I have a lot of fuel that isnt being burnt in the exhaust, Ive searched for a vacuum leak but havent found anything so far. What could it be?

Check for codes. Sounds like a maf problem.

Yea, ECU is throwing Code 12: Mass airflow sensor/circuit

Im using an ECU thats programed for the Z32 MAF, but I dont have one. I tried switching back to the stock ECU but it still does it. Do I need a new MAF?

just to say again with eh?

check your wiring and maf. id guess that your car was re-wired for the z32 maf. now you want to use the stock maf and stock ecu you have to re-wire back from z32 to stock wiring.

or get a z32 maf with your re-proged ecu.

Car used to run and drive. Then it didnt lol, some dumbass who charged me 40 dollars to look at it told me I fried my ECU and had me buy a new one. I got a Mines which is programmed for a Z32 MAF. I dont have the MAF in question, nor is it wired for one. Switched back to the stock computer yeilds the same results though.

As carl guessed, thats exactly your problem. You're trying to run the wrong maf, its programmed with a z32 maf and you have a rb maf. Grab an RB maf and your set, or grab a s-afc and repgroram your in and outs.

I thought I mentioned this. I have the RB25 MAF installed and wired on the car. The MINES ECU is programed for a Z32 MAF. I switched the ECU back to the stock ones which would not be programmed for the the Z32 one and it still does it.
