Los Angeles to San Francisco Rally

Hey guys, I was thinking of organizing a rally from LA to SF. The details are not fully developed yet but who would go? Was thinking of maybe taking off on a Saturday morning and coming back on Sunday. Just spend the nite maybe we can all eat at china town in SF and sleep then DRIVE back. Love the driving part

NOTE: If you are one of those "Ill Go!!" people and then the day of the event say "oh man i cant go have to work" dont say you're going! lol That way we know how many ppl are willing to go. We can either go 101 for the scenic route or take the 5 for the quicker route. Let me know, oh btw this would be in like 2 months.

I'm in. 101 route seems better, as it's more scenic and we can take pics along the way. There's also a nice 20 mile mountain road drive through Carmel.

I really don't care when we come back. I know some people want to leave Sunday, and others on Monday. They can just go and come back I guess, they can have their own caravan home. There will probably be a Sunday caravan and a Monday caravan.

When we pass by before Santa Barbara, right past Ventura, there's a nice stretch of scenic highway where someone can pass us all and stop at the shoulder and take pics of us passing by. We can also stop on the side and take pics.

If you get more particapants perhaps we could make this a socal/norcal meet?? It would definitly be an awesome gathering of machines if we could get full particapation from both areas. I will say though most if not all the resturants in china town are not big enough for a large gathering, not to mention lack of parking in the city. Yrs ago when I went to the city on the weekends we used to park under the embarcadero center in their garage, we would then hit the stores in the center for validation therefore park for free. If there is a date set I will post it on the calendar. Maybe also start a seperate thread for norcal members as we can arrive much earlier and maybe do something else to kill time till you all arrive.

Also I was thinking of having two meet points. 1 somewhere in Los Angeles. Maybe someone knows a big parking lot in Hollywood off the 101 somewhere. Meet there around 8:30AM then a second meet spot in Oxnard around Rose or Auto center drive near the costco? Around 10AM__________________

wow... this sounds like a lot of fun. I'm still somewhat new to the 240sx meets, but i'd be hella interested. I'm Adrian by the way. I dont know about the idea of the movies. I just really wanted to meet with other enthusiasts, not go on a date with them, lol. No there are no 240 specific wreckers up here that I am aware of. However in sacramento there are 3 or 4 Nissan only wreckers that do have a large stock of 240's on hand. They are not a pull it yourself lot though. And their prices are steep as compared to u pull it yards.

The bbq or carting should take place outside of the city for space purposes. Perhaps in the south or east bay area? I would suggest some mountian running but you guys will have already done some extensive driving and would want to be out of the car for a break.

by the way hot import days is on the 8 of october, and it is in the almeda county fair ground which is around the area where you guys are coming to. maybe we can have a 240/silvia meet after or during the thing. just an idea. but either way i'd be in for a meet.

I'm want to go real bad! I've been here in Iraq now for like 7 months and I am due to come home around Oct 4th. If I can get out this hell hole in time I will defintiely come. I need a vacation and I can't think of anything better than a realaxing drive in my S14 Zenki up the 101!
