I was changing out the battery and I noticed a wire that was disconnected. Does anyone know what this wire is for?

it's got a fuse holder inline, it is the power feed form somethign aftermarket, stereo, alarm, lights, etc. judging form the gauge fo wire it's lights or alarm, follow the wire and see where it leads

yup. it looks like an aftermarket power wire for sure. probably lights, alarm, maybe even a stereo or amp wire. some people even wire there electric fans that way. if its disconnected and nothing seems wrong with your car in these areas then you can choose to leave it alone or remove it completely. just make sure to follow it and verify its purpose before donig so.

Thanks for the info. The car is running fine with the wire disconnected. The wire leads to the driver side. I notice some sort of kill or toggle switch under the steering wheel/drive side. I assume that was some alarm at one point. There is also an after market stereo with no face plate.

I would conclude on the information posted the wire was for an after market product. Thanks.
