Loose wire by Cat.......What is it??

As in the title. I was under my car today and I discovered a loose electrical connection (ground wire??) hanging by my catylitic converter and I don't have a clue what it is, where it was attached or what is broken now. Anybody have any bright ideas?? It's kinda hanging on the downstream side of the cat on the left (drivers side).

i have the same wire i have no idea whats it for as well.

Yes it is just a chassis ground for the exhaust piping... it's not going to cause any problems if it isn't there - mine fell off at some point.
