I dont know if this is a major problem, but the temp needle on my gauge cluster was fine.... it was always a little under the half indication of the temp meter when the car is in normal operating temp.

I just got my car back with sr20det and sometimes when I boost the needle will pass the H mark (high) and get stuck to the outer casing of the cluster, at this point it gets kind of loose and wobbles as I go over bumps. Now if I boost again it might just come back to the average operating temp and it no longer wobble around when I go over bumps.

I remember when I was helping installing gauge faces for my friend I played around with the mph needle and if I turn it too far it'll want to turn clockwise instead of the original counterclock wise (back to 0). I am guessing it's the same concept but I don't know how to approach this problem. Please assist, thanks!

maybe check the connector in the engine, i know that's what was wrong with mine, when i swapped KA's, the connector wasn't on all the way.

you should really invest on a temp gauge for running an sr. the temp gauge in your stock cluster is not accurate. my 0.02 cents
