Loose Steering Column 2009 Infiniti G37X

I brought my 2009 Infiniti G37X to the dealer for the steering wheel feeling loose when going over speed bumps and feeling like it was locking down in place when going in reverse. The dealer said this shouldn't happen and replaced the steering column under my extended warranty. The same issue started a month later and I brought it back to the dealer. Now the dealer tells me this play in the steering column is normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

I had a 2007 G37S Sedan...it did not do what you described. I would ask them it it was normal, then why did they do work in the first place?

My feeling is the extended warranty was an outside one and they saw an opening to perform unnecessary work. Basically changed their story when I took it back the second time. First time the steering wheel shouldn't move and the second time it's normal play. Thanks!
