Loose Shifter

hey guys, I just bought this 92 300zx n/a in feburary. I haven't had many problems besides the bad clutch, steering going on and off, and the new problem, my loose shifter.I had the clutch replaced by a stage1 clutchmaster.The power steering goes on and off while driving, but trying to turn when stopped makes a slight grinding and buzzing sound.The other problem is the loose shifter. My shifter will wobble (about 2-3 inches diameter) in Neutral, and in and gear.

the same thing is what is wrong with my shifter. to my understanding, there is a $5 rubber bushing in the shifter that gets worn and it causes it to get loose feeling. you have to take off the whole plastic center console to get to it. i am probably just going to save up and get a short shifter and have that instead of tearing up the console for a little $5 part.

lol thanks, i already torw out hte entire interior from the back to install new speakers and a head unit soon. so might as well tear out hte console.Low budget = DIY :p
