Yea'!srwong wrote:Ok, so I was washing my car because there's hella bugs on the front from driving out in Buttonwillow, CA. And as I get to my fog lights, the driver side fog light was loose. The bottom part of it like pushed in. The passenger side is fine, it's just the drivers side. What do you think would have caused this? And how can I fix it? Thanks in advance...

lol yea, so i took Blackmobile's advise. I jacked up my car and went through the splash guards, and turns out it did come unclipped. So I just pushed it back in, and now it's nice and tight. That was also the first time I worked under my car, so I was pretty excited about that also. ha ha ha. Good thing my bro has this soap to get off car oil and all that junk. lolblackteam02 wrote:Yea'!
I got the same frik'n problem Sam' ! i know i didnt hit anything either...same side too, FLAWWWWwwwwWwwed driver fog lamp i guess.
yea that's true. thanks again for your help. =)Blackmobile wrote:not sure if it's a factory flaw, might have been improperly installed right from the start, but i figure something must have pushed it out of the clip. you say you haven't hit anything before but that doesn't mean nothing has hit you! could have been as simple as someone doing a service on your car and put their knee into your fog light, or something flew into it while you were driving but not hard enough to break the light.
Coo- you know whaaaat, haha! i almost took "Smurfy" to a body shop and had them do the diRRty work!Ima give it a try "clip" the fog back in> now you went in thru the wheel well right? dumb question i know.srwong wrote:

So ya, how it came undone, still a mystery. Considering that area's pretty much closed off and there's only a couple of small holes underneath near the fog light. And I doubt a small rock could have did that. So i agree, must be factory flaw. it's not like this would be their first flaw. =x
yea i did. it was way easier than taking off the whole front bumper. real easy DIY fix...blackteam02 wrote:Ima give it a try "clip" the fog back in> now you went in thru the wheel well right?
Simple explaination...blackteam02 wrote:I got the same frik'n problem Sam' ! i know i didnt hit anything either...same side too, FLAWWWWwwwwWwwed driver fog lamp i guess.
you can go through the wheel well, but i'd recommend going through the splash guard, easier access IMO. just remove the 5-7 clips under the car that keeps the splash guard attached and the whole thing just falls down so you can see both of your fogs. instead of having to remove each wheel well. then again only one of your fogs is loose, so i guess you'd only have to remove 1, up to you. all i know is that when installing my hid's through the wheel well it was a nightmare trying to pry it back to get my grubby hands in thereblackteam02 wrote:you went in thru the wheel well right?
yea, what he said... idk why i said i went through wheel well when i went through splash guards... lol air head moment, forgive me...Blackmobile wrote:you can go through the wheel well, but i'd recommend going through the splash guard, easier access IMO.
