I have 2 connectors located in my tunck between the rear deck speackers. These appear to be coaxial type connectors and are the same size as those used in tv cable but the wires are a small gauge with an overall size of about 1/8 inch. The connectors are both male and there is no aparent female connector for these to connect to. They are however located very close to each other. What are these for?

CD changer probably. My guess is one goes to the deck, and the other to the controller.

I have the same thing in my '94. It is not for a CD changer, because my car has one of those, too. I think they are for a phone. One is the built-in antenna, in the rear glass, and the other is for the handset. The other end might be in the console, somewhere.

Just wait, someone who knows, will chime in....

Hmmmmm, if it really looks like coax then it's for a phone antenna. That would be the correct waveguide for analog cell antennas.

Probably an aftermarket installation once removed, as I think the Q factory wiring for the antenna is in the headliner.

I don't think my car has anything that is aftermarket. These connectors look factory to me. By the way my keyless remote does not work. Is it possible that this could be for the keyless remote antenna?

No, I think the receiver is behind the glove box. Do a search for remote programming. There are a few threads that have instructions to re-program your remote. Replace the batteries, first.

I bet both cables are for the cell phone. Although I have thought about making an adapter, to see if the antenna will work for my radio, then I can disconnect the power antenna. I don't know if the bandwidth of the antenna will work for FM signals, though.

It's prewiring for cellular phone.
