Loose cable?

My 92 sentra has a cable hanging down from the engine and I am not sure what it is. Speed Sensor? It doesnt touch the ground when I drive but it doesnt look like something that should be loose. What is it?

A random cable is hard to diagnose. Try to follow it to where it goes in the engine and it should be pretty easy to figure out its function.
