Hey again all,

I'm having a problem that i think is an engine mount problem. If i go in reverse and stop suddenly, there will be a monster thud from under the hood, and then when i go into first and go forward, there will be another loud thud. I thought at first that it was the transmission, problems going from first and reverse, but since there is no sound if i only go one direction, i.e. pull all the way through two parking spots so i can go forward out of it as opposed to reverse, or if i back up EXTREMELY gently it will not do the clunking thing. I spoke to my ex-mechanic (i no longer trust the Nissan dealership service dept. in Arlington, Va, for anyone in the area) and he thought possibly the engine mounts. What do others think? Also, anyone know what it would cost to fix that? Like I said, i don't trust the mechanic, so I figure maybe you guys can help. Thanks a lot.

Cort

nope not at all, just when i go forward or in reverse, it's like it slides more than it just rattles around.
