im looking into getting a r33 this comming spring.....

where would be the best place to get one....

would it be better to get it from someone that is in the states and that can import one for u, or is it better to talk to someone over seas to see if they can ship one for you.

it seems from what I see yoy have two options;1. try to grt a hookup in Japan who will ship and hope the car passes under the radar at the receiving port and then hope you can slide it through registration, cheaper but with more pitfalls, any one of which could result in a crushed Skyline and your investment gone.2. pay the evil bastards at Motorex their blood money and get one to-your-door no fuss no muss. I haven`t checked Motorex`s prices lately but to give you an idea of the markup, a lot-purchased R32 GTR in Okinawa Japan will cost you in the neighborhood of $9000.00

You can buy it from motorex and that's about it. There is no other legal way to buy one in the states. Price is gonna reem you pretty hard though. Motorex has a few in stock at the moment for around 50-55 grand.

don't go to motrex. They are a rip off.

You can go through any legal RI listed on DOT's website. Depending if they convert it or not is up to the RI.

So there's no possible way to bring a skyline over legally anymore? Damnit!

That doesn't make them legal in the U.S. Canadian cars are only legal in the U.S. if they were originall sold in Canada. An imported R32 isn't a CDM car, it's a JDM car. Legal in Canada, but not the U.S.

U.S. has the same law, but it's 25 years, not 15 years like Canada.
