If they offered a Supercharged 3.5 or 4.0L I would think about it.
First off if it was a supercharged 3.5 liter then it would cannibalize Z sales a supercharged 4.0L would cannibalize GT-R sales. Remember the GT-R is a 4000Lbs 3.8L twin-turbo.
The reason why its a 2.0L or 1.8-1.6L Turbo is so it does not cannibalize G and 3.5 Altima Coupe Sales.
This is a RWD small entry level sports coupe/car. There is a reason why the A/C do not come with 3.7L V6's and are FWD as not to cannibalize G coupe sales. If the Silvia is faster and cheaper then the A/C, G, Z, and GTR no one would buy any of the above.
I see the silvia being priced between a 2.5 A/C and 3.5 A/C and the performance in between as well. Also for some of the folks here who seem to think RWD = + 100HP. This is not true, remember on front engine cars that are RWD, (Z, G, GT-R, and most likely the silvia) there is a heavy and long drive sharft from the front of the car to the rear. If we took two identical cars one FWD and one RWD, the FWD will give more power to the wheels simply based on the fact, there is more weight due to the drive train and more power is lost due to friction and theromodynamics on the RWD car. The way to fix this is my moving the engine to the back and have a mid-engine/rear-engine vehicle, ala M1, R8, many Porsches. The GT-R reduces the weight by using a Carbon Fiber drive shaft but I believe on the Z's and G's and prolly on the Silvia its strong but heavy steel.
