they make me sick, I F*n hate the RIAA

I hope they go down in flames and i'll drink and laugh then entire time.

they cant sue everybody ... its getting a bit out of control nowI hope eventually the government realizes this ... which is highly doubtful.

I think people should boycott all cd's ... dont buy anything affiliated with the RIAA.

just my $.02

I guess file trading via private FTP is going to make a comeback.

Yeah, but sooner or later KaZaa Lite, Morpheus, LimeWire, and all the other P2P and Gnutella clients are all gonna be under watch.

Again I say, those greedy rich bastards!

I no longer purchase CDs because the RIAA doesn't want me to. Why else would they raise prices and sue all of their consumers? Once the RIAA is put in its place I will resume my normal purchasing habits. Until then.. uh... fight the machine?

If you download something, they can track you. Remember that your connection to a p2p client, etc goes through many intermediaries on the way. Try tracing the route from yourself to any IP. You have to go through your provider, their provider, etc, etc. If anyone along this path (or who manages to work their way into this path) wants to check out what you're doing, who's going to stop them?

Then again, they don't even need to do that. They could be scanning you right now and you wouldn't even know it!

It may seem like you are far from prying eyes on your computer, but it isn't that hard to get into someone's computer if you are determined to.

^ I totally agree. I started using Imesh after the whole Kazaa mess and am definetly not liking the slowness. But I do miss Napster as well...

BTW, anyone know of a better alternative?

actually, it was an invasion of privacy for the RIAA to pull account info from the ISP's, so we're in the clear for now.

Limewire's not a bad alternative to kazaa

THis is bs, i cant believe that they are doing this. They just see it as another opportunity to make a buck. i still use kazaa lite, prob shouldnt, but i dunno.
