Well started to get some smoking. Started noticing it the other day when I was decelling. Checked it at idle and def getting some nice oil smoke. So, I ran a compression test the numbers are as follows on my s13 sr20det cyl #1 100 #2 110 #3 115 #4 115.

The plugs look good, tps, and maf are in spec. The I/C piping is clean and so are the spark plugs, not oily at all like you would expect from an oil burner. I'm not sure how to check and see if it's turbo or engine, but either way something is leaking oil.

I guess it's time to start piecing together a rebuild. Owned the car a year and a half and it just sort of started. Never had any real big issues before now. Sucks big ol donkey nuts.

have you tried to put a little bit of oil into each cylinder to see if the compression goes up? if it goes up then the piston rings are worn. if it stays the same its time for a head rebuild.

Ah, yeah I had totally forgot that you could do that. I'm going to have to go rent the compression tester again and try that. Prolli been 10 yrs since my stepdad showed me that trick and haven't used it since. Hahaha.

Thanks for the advice!
