Well im trying to get everything together for my 5 speed swap, but my friend said that the flywheel has some kind of magnet of some kind in it for that sensor thats on the transmission. I know the transmission that I have is for a s14 it has that sensor on the top of it that gets plugged in, I think its broken but the one on my transmission is good.

So basically am i screwed. I know that the s14's are obd2 but i only have 1 wire on my o2 sensor because all of the other s14's that I see have like three or four wires. Do i still have the older computer, my car doesn't have a external coil. Do all of the flywheels that they sell such as the fidanza and other lighten wheels have this.

I never heard of this before if i did I would have made sure I didn't get the wrong one. The one i have has the little hole in it to line up with the crank. Please tell me im not screwed, I only need a driveshaft and clutch pedal and the little cover that goes over the top of back part of the transmission that goes around the shifter.

as far as i know the flywheel doesn't have a magnet, it does have a crank angle sensor though, but am pretty sure people just leave it hanging on top of the trans whenever they do 5sp swaps with older(91-94) transmissions.

also if your O2 sensor has 1 wire, then it is OBDI.

Thanks dude I knew that was bull because if they sell all those flywheels on ebay and don't specify anything like that about different kinds if just says 90-98 years. The transmission i have does have the sensor. I'm even throwing a code for that sensor and the car is running fine.

Thanks guys.
