So the engine shop mated the '93 DOHC head to an unknown block. Everything was looking good until we found out the tensioner arm was 2" too short. The tensioner mounting holes were different too.

Everything from the DOHC timing kit worked except the arm. The tensioner arm from a SOHC timing kit worked. That set off the alarm.

I thought I had '95 block so I didn't visually inpsect it much.

(Block was purchased seperately as a package deal w/ Ross Pistons, Pauter Rods, Ferrea valves/retainers, intake/exhaust vavles for $1580 shipped).

Needless to say, I'm gonna have the block from the '93 DOHC machined now.

So my misfortune will be someones beneift Spread the word that a decked/bored .20 over SOHC is for sale

Give me some time to figure out a price. I'll post it in the classifieds so others are aware.

Thank goodness for NICO search function to see all the issues involved w/ installing a DOHC on SOHC block!
