Lookout for AC noise

Hi All,I just went to the dealer for my oil change (SL, 1 year, 14000km) and I told them that I noticed the AC was a little loud especially during the winter when the defroster was on. They told me that there was a service bulletin out and that they will fix the problem. Took me 2 hours for that oil change but at least they fixed the AC noise.

Listen to your AC, if it sounds a bit loud, chances are it is.

Is that noise inside the car or outside? Ours just started getting really loud, like a jet engine revving up, outside. Not consistently, and not related to the compressor firing on and off. But really loud.

As I remember, the recall was for 07's V - they fixed it for 08

hmm that would make sense. I have the same anoying noise when im driving or sitting still... clicks alot too. ive got 15,5xx on mine.

It was inside the car, it just sounded like the compressor was running loud (which it was). Now that it's fixed when I hit the AC button the compressor is very quite (as it should be). I especially found this throughout the winter when I had the defrost on.

i dunno if its the same noise, but unconsistantly there is a noise coming from under the hood... i dunno how to explain it, but sometimes when i start up it will be really loud, lasts about a second, its usually when i first turn on the ac... is that normal?

anyone have a transcript of the service bulliten?

Do you know when this service bulliten was issued? I have had my Versa for about 6 mos.The noise is very annoying and I find the AC doesn't work as efficiently at these times.I also had some noises from the fan in winter. I hope my dealer will rectify the problem too. 2 hrs.......it's worth it.
