Looking to upgrade stock low beam bulbs for LED

Hello,

The wife and I have had our 2015 Rogue SL for about 11 months now. I am interested in upgrading the current Halogen H11's for something brighter. I was told that LEDs would easier/better to install.

I have looked around and cannot seem to decide on what is a decent brand/product. Additionally, I have some questions:
1. Are LEDs much like the Halogen replacements? In other words, it's a plug and play scenario? I know HiD's I would have to install kits and so forth. I have replaced regular halogen bulbs before, is there anything different about LED's?
2. Do I need to worry about how bright I get my bulbs? I have read in other forums people had bought ones that were too high in and melted parts of the headlight area.
3. Can anyone suggest a brand or a website I can look at? I have tried a couple of different online stores + Amazon not sure if I am looking at the right products.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I simply want to be able to see better at night. I'm willing to spend money on quality, but not blindly.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the SL already came with LED low beams.

I think some do/don't. I was on the highway last night and drove past another car (same make, model year and color) with LED's.

OK...it seems the premium package for the SL comes with LED headlights. Seems here in Canada everybody gets the premium package.

The issue with putting LED in a halogen based headlight housing is the glare for the oncoming drivers (same as aftermarket HID kits)
