I am in need of a forged crankshaft that will fit a 1980 510 with the Z20 motor and I have searched all over the internet for the part and no luck at the moment. Also I might need a set of forged rods if the company I had emailed tell me they don't make them. I am looking to put a NOS system and would like to know that some of the parts will handle.

keep in mind that you can BOLT any other Z-series bottom end onto the Z20 head.....ie. a Z22....( Z24's are apperently prone to craking blocks ).or....with a few small mods.....you can bolt any L-series bottom ends on aswell ( because essentially Z-series are exactly the same block's as L's....only the head and timing cover are different ).you'll be suprised at how strong the bottom end of these engines are from factory!!!I have never heard of anyone using a forged crank in a L or Z before tho....chuck a L20 crank in it.....they are fully conterweighted.

One other thing I was wondering about could I use the stock Z20 rods with the L20B crankshaft?
