I am really interested in buying a G35 but someone told me that it's was awful in the snow AND THE RAIN!!! If this is true, this is unacceptable. I would prefer to get a 2003 2 wheel drive G35 as oppose to the 2004 g35x because of the price but if I can't even drive it in the rain without being worried, I might as well get a station wagon. Any input would be great.

4WD works best for weather conditions. Suck it up and pay the extra money for it. Just imagine the cost difference between a safer 4WD vehicle and the cost of being hospitalized and sued for causing a 10-car pile up on a highway because you couldn't justify purchasing the proper car.

I have never had problems in the rain!! Ever.
But, tires are everything when it come to......traction.
"Someone" was very misinformed.
Good Luck!

Pretty much finding out what I can get for my money. I will only spend $10,500 but there are some nice G's out there for a good price. I was going to look at a 2005 White/Tan G35x with 85,000 miles but I backed out and decided to rethink the idea of getting an '03 for cheaper.

Okay, I found two cars around here that I could get. One is a 2004 g35x with 95,000 miles for $11,000 and there is a 2003 g35 with 70,000 miles for $11,000. Which would be better (keeping in mind that I live in New Hampshire)?

Some retard cut into my lane today without signalling, and the road was extremely slippery.... my x did like it was supposed to and saved my a** from crashing into this ***hole. Awd is worth it.

AWD is so good that Infiniti Canada has decided that they won't even sell a base model G37 with RWD. I personally think they are making a mistake and will lose a few customers. Some guys prefer to by the base model RWD G37 and do-it-up on their own. Of the 6 G sedans available here (3 G25 and 3 G37) only the base G25 and G37 Sport can be bought with RWD.

Anyway, yes, whoever told you that the RWD G is really bad in the rain was silly. Put on good tires, suited to the season, and any car will be ok provided that the driver is sensible.

I'm looking at a 2004 g35x with 125,000 miles. It's in great shape and has been well taken care of. It has all service records (haven't seen them yet). He's asking $10,500. Will this car be reliable for me?

My girl just bought an 05 g35 coupe and we had some pretty bad snow storms here in pa and really have not given us problems in the wet.

I am also considering a G35 in the near future. A manual RWD coupe or sedan.

So here's my situation. It is a 03 g35 coupe with 65000 miles and the dealer is saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. Its located on long island and has a clear title. All they want is 10,000 for it.... to good to be true?

here is the link. I am going to go look at it tommorow. The lady was a total b**** though...

^ Sounds like a steal at $9K....you really need to look it over carefully. You could easily have to put > $1500 into it if it needs brakes/tires/new fluids
Very strange that there is no pic of the front interior

Maybe I'll go buy it before you ;)

DO NOT BUY IT...I JUST RAN AN AUTOCHECK AND IT SAYS: MAJOR TITLE OR OTHER PROBLEMS REPORTED.

That explains why it's so cheap!
They rated it 77 and other similar cars go from 89-94. It also had a big red exclamation mark.

THE TITLE IS NOT CLEAN, IT'S PROBABLY A SALVAGE

well too bad because i drove 3 1/2 hours for nothing!!! It was sold. Someone else bought it. This morning^^^ The b**** on the phone told me it had clean title and everything was good on it. 6 speed manuals are just ridiculously cheap in new york because no one wants them.

CHeck this out though...!

06 with 25,000 miles for only 9600...? Someone better hop on that. Me thinks it's her husbands and some kind of split happened and now she's pissed... so selling his toy for dirt cheap. haha.

^^ 6 speed manual.

Consider it your lucky day. People are too trusting sometimes. I guarantee the guy that bought it had no idea it was a salvage because he was too distracted by the low price.

I have an '03 Coupe with 112K miles and never had problems in the snow or rain. You just need good tires.
