looking to purchase 08 Altima. issues?

I tried searching but for some reason its not allowing me as a new member.

so I am close to making a decision on purchasing an 08 Altima 2.5S w 65k
From what i could find online.. there seems to be an ongoing issue with Nissan's DSC Transmissions.
Would like to know how prevalent this issue really is?

any other things i should check for when buying a used Ultima?

I plan on getting a pre-purchase inspection done.. but those are usually very top level.

Any other opinions/ suggestions are welcome.

The 4th gen Altima is a good vehicle. Nissan has extended the powertrain warranty for 08-10 models years up to 120k miles. You can purchase a used 4th gen Altima with peace of mind. However, you should certainly exercise due deligence with thoroughly inspecting any vehicle you decide to purchase. Whether it's an Altima, Accord, Camry, or Passat.
