Looking to make my own ITB setup anyone done it before?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I tried searching but could find any sort of guide or anything.

I finally feel comfortable enough with my welding skills to be able to do all of the welding. My questions to you guys are:

1st. Where did you guys find ITB's at? I heard of alot of guys using 1000cc ITB's from bikes. Can I just use ITB's from say 4, 500cc bikes? Or 4 ITB's from an older car rebuilt?

2nd. Do I need to worry about the length of the piping between the head and the ITB's?

Im only doing this for fun here. I dont expect any huge pwer gains, I just like working with my hands and having something that not many people have

Thanks

1) you can use ITB's from a gixxer 650-1000 and you will need a stand alone EMS to run everythine unless you go with a plenum style ITB setup like on the silver top 86 motor. havent really herd much about using ITB form older cars though

2) the length from the to the throttle is dependent on if you want more torque or more HP.i.e. long runners=torque; short runners=horse power

i am not totally 100% on that second one but i am pretty sure im close, so if anyone who knows what the differance is please prove me wrong, but thats what i was told.

good luck with the build

Basically, it means that the ITB's are all attached to a Plenum (air chamber) which then is attached to the normal intake piping, and thus, MAF.

It allows you to run an ITB setup without a standalone, essentially.

j-z had one on his car for awhile, he custom fabbed it.

Sorry to bring this thread back and jack it, but I think it answers my question I had I just wanted to confirm that. I'm going with ITB's gixxer 650 with plenum do to being turbo'd. Can I or do I need the TPS from the ITBS or can I just run just use the 300zx maf. I'm using SAFC 2 and MSD BTM. Thank you
