Hello everyone I've been a long time NICO member back when I had my 240sx and am helping my friend purchase a 2004 g35 sport coupe.

I did a lil researching on what to look for when buying a used 2004 g35 coupe, but didnt really find much. Is there anything I should look out for when buying a g? I currently found a black 2004 g35 sport coupe with 32k mi and AT for about 20g's. It seems like its the base model i.e. no navi or brembos.

Any help/tips/links would be much appreciated.

I just purchased my vehicle because of such I recommend the following. Check if such vehicle is still under warranty as you will save if you do get one that is still under 4 year (60K)millage. I bought mine with one month before the original owner's 4 year was up. I was told if original warranty had expired I would need to pay for an inspection and only if vehicle passed inspection I could buy the extended warranty. The easiest way to check if the vehicle is under warranty is by calling a dealership so they can check the vin for you. Remember the lower the millage the less the extended warranty. If you have other questions post them here.

just curious...why 04?

being the owner of an o5 w/o navi, bose & brembo...i can say i don't miss them (navi is a cool gadget but none of them are truly accurate) and w/o bose u have alot more options to change the oem speakers. i do wish i had the Brembos but simply cause i like the way they look.

i have changed the 18" wheels to 17s and found the ride a little better, some say the gas mileage is better w/ 17s but i dont keep up w/ that so i wouldn't know (ignorance is bliss )

i have 48k and have not had any problems (knock on wood ) other than my own making and just dumb luck

it would be a good idea to drive on a bumpy road w/o music so u can hear if there are any of those annoying squeaks and rattles that are gonna happen to older cars...

hope i helped!

if it is 2004 sport if would have the Brembo brake package and sport suspension (looking through the tires you would see red struts).

It doesnt sound like the sport package to me.

If I were you, although the 2004 is great, I would stick to 05+

You should be able to find it for the same price with low miles still and be under warranty. Thats your best bet.
