can't really tell much from the post, but i talked to the guy who lives right down the street. it has a reopo affidavit and clean title, the odometer reads 200,000 or so but its all rebuilt. it has twin cam 16 valve with intake and exhaust. i haven't been to see it yet, though i will in a few days, ill go with some friends that have or have had 240's. Im 15 and will be my first car!

if i like what i see and my friends agree i will ask to get it to a shop to be checked out by them.

Does this plan sound good? if not what else should i do?

thanks for the help!

Price is too high in my opinion. The car seems clean but where is the interior pictures? Your plan is good so far, just make sure you have the shop check for rust everywhere too. Suspension upgrade? Like what... Anyway, welcome to Nico and you will love your 240 when you get it. That is if you do.

Check for rust (being in Arizona I doubt there will be an issue) Otherwise very clean from the outside. How the interior look. I'd offer $2000 Cash (when you say cash ppl seem to think differently as if they would have accepted any other form of payment from you, makes me laugh everytime I think of it)

Not sure about Carfax and the 11 Reports, could be nothing, if it has a clean title tho I wouldn't even worry.

if the car is getting repoed and he sells it to you and he doesn't pay who ever he owes money they can still repo the car.

when i carfax'd my car before buying it, i had 9 reports.. then i payed the $30..

they were mostly speeding tickets and 2 street racing infractions O_O.. but nothing that bad...

if the car looks good and youve checked the body out, then youll know if its been in any heavy accidents and what not.. just be smart before you buy.. dont jump into it all happy and not talk him down

pay $2000 tops if its that clean.. thats still a little much for a non-swapped S13.. i regret not talking down mine more come to find out that it had a bad camshaft >_<

GOOD LUCK

alright will do, the next day they went down to 2200 si i think i could talk it down to 2000. and yeah checked it out last night, no bodily damage. one of my friends noticed a knocking sound. he said it could be something or could be nothing. and i might be getting it through an inspection soon so fingers crossed!!!

only real problem for me isn't money, but my parents. they think the insurance will be really high since ill be getting my license soon and its a "sporty car". so i really just need to convince them and stuff.

lol insurance will probably be petty high, i recommend you be on your parents insurance plan, thats like an automatic discount.

also if you maintain A's and B's or a pretty good GPA you will get a huge discount.

before i bought my 240 i was driving a dodge ram 1500 truck, and i had was liability, my insurance was like 160 a month, then i got a few speeding tickets and my license suspended. it jumped to 250. i for sure thought insurance for my 240 was gonna be reallllllllly high.

i told them i have a 3.6 GPA and they dropped my cost by almost 100 dollars a month. so if you have good grades be sure to mention that, and if you dont have good grades i would start studying lol

if you do end up buying it i would suggest looking at the vacuum lines for the brake booster and basicly all the rubber hoses make sure their not dry rodded or or cracked.

bought my car down in phx and the brake booster vacuum line went out when i was driving and it wouldn't idle or brake properly. easy fix just can suprize you and could cause a accident....

sick 240 tho champagne ftw
