350z's are fairly bullet proof, but have a problem with the staggered, unidirectional tires that come as OEM equipment. Because of this, you cannot rotate the tires and an abnormal wear pattern called feathering occurs. This is aggravated by the toe-out alignment specified. After about 15-20K miles, the tires start getting loud. My Z is particularly loud on braking.

It is not unusual for tires to be replaced every 25K miles.

Look for a car with tires that are not unidirectional so you can at least rotate tires left and right to prevent feathering.

My tire recommendations are Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 all seasons and either the Bridgestone S04 or Michelin Pilot Super Sport for summer tires. All are asymmetrical and can be rotated from left to right.

Welcome to NICO! :badger

We had another fairly recent "looking to buy a Z" thread, check around for it. I'm on my phone at the dentist or I'd hunt for it and post up a link.

I'll take care of it later if you haven't found it. Like DJ said though, pretty bulletproof (especially if taken care of), my 2005 has 174K miles on it and runs great.
