So I am looking to buy some HID 5000k Headlights for a nice white tint and about a 3000k Yellow color on foglights. Where is a good place to buy these for a decent price? Sorry I am new here and just need some help.

hidextra.com - i bought probably around 8 kits from them the past 2-3 years. On holidays especially their prices are a steal, and as long as my stuff was in the 1 year warranty, i had no problem getting replacement bulbs and such if they went out from them.

you need to search by bulb type. If I am not mistaken for a Pathfinder it is H4. Someone please verify

I also suck at HID's and lightning stuff. I pretty sure that H4 is the correct size, but wait for someone who knows to confirm this.

The only thing I will recommend is for the bulb to be 6000k which is pure white. Below is a picture of mine with 6000k bulbs. They may appear very bright in the pic but they are not too bright (cops have not bothered me about them)

I bought them locally. All I know is that the box looked like this:

By the way, you should make a new thread introducing yourself and posting pics of your ride!

Post-facelift R50s use H3 bulbs in the fog lamps.

Yea I am trying to get more savy on being able to do stuff on my car! I am really good with setting up electronics, but just not good with the car yet. I guess I just don't want to mess anything up and want a clean install.

Headlights : H4

Fogs: H3

My setup right now is 8000k Headlights / 3000k Foglights

I have also run 10000k / 3000k previously.

Personally i used to go for the look because i didnt drive at night too much, but now i do fairly often ( summer time ), so id go with 6k or 8k in the headlights,

believe me when i say my foglights lit up the road more then my headlights when i ran a 12000k/3000k setup in my audi. Although i have never yet seen anyone on the road with that, purple/light pink headlights and deep gold fogs.

Dad runs 6k/3k on his car, that is also the car with the best visibility on the road, and my path and audi are both running 8k/3k now.

In a couple weeks im gonna try a 3000k/3000k setup on my audi so ill take pics of that, and it might seem like i buy tons of kits, but in my audi it takes like 1 minute timing yourself if you work quick to swap out both bulbs in the headlights as they are d2s already xenon setup so i just buy different temperature d2s bulbs on ebay for like $12 from 1 of 2 reputable sellers and they all work great.

lol in my country when HID's started coming out, any ricer would get super bright pink, purple or just any bright bulbs that will make their $500 crappy car stand out, plus you can't forget the annoying loud exhaust!

and gold fogs are seen on about 90% of the cars here that have HID's...

I purchased a set from eBay about 2 - 3 years ago, made by Xentec. Took about 45 minutes to install. Haven't had any problems.

I bought a set of Xentec for my Scion Xb and with in a week one of the ballast burnt got a replacement from them and with in a few days both bulbs were flickering, so i ended up wasting the 34 dollars from xentec for the set and the shipping for the replacement ballast and after the flickering started they didnt want to give me a refund or a replacement, told me it might be my car.
Bought a set from simplyhidkits and i yet to have any issues with ballast or bulbs and that was a year and a half ago.
But hey you might be one of the few that never had any issues with Xentec, wish you the best.
