I would like to purchase some factory infiniti wheels to replace the wheels on the Q I am buying. They are stock, but chipped up and ugly. If anyone knows how to clean them up or paint them so they look closely like they would in newer shape that would be helpful too.

Look for a wheel repair man, talk to your local Infiniti dealer and see who they use to repair wheels there customer bring in.

Do you want to repair your pie pan or turbine wheels?

Can you get pictures?

There's lots of pie pans for sale on ebay for about $20/each but it's a real crap shoot since they all look good in the pictures. Be patient and buy from a NICO seller and you're more likely to get a nice set. You can also start a thread in the Infiniti Parts and Parts WTB forums and wait for the responses to start flowing in. Good luck.

If I were buying replacement wheels, I would skip the pie pans and get newer OEM wheels from a later model. I'm running 16s from the '97 base style... but if I were buying today it would probably be FX35 wheels. Quality tire options in a 15" are getting more and more difficult to find.

Best I have seen is about $400 for a set in good condition.

Honestly, I think those wheels look far better on the G50 than they did on the Y33s they came on.

I personally love the wheels that my parents bought after getting their Q with pie pans back in '98. Now that the car is mine, I can't imagine anything else on it.

They're a fairly common BBS wheel type, and from what I understand they're very close to an optional set that could be bought for a Q from the dealer. (That information might not be correct, as I heard it many years ago.)

Wow, I feel those are even more fitting than my Murano wheels. Looks excellent in stance. Sporty look with a little bit of lux.
