Looking to buy an S13 (1992)

Hi Guys, I'm looking at buying an S13 with approximatly 190k miles.What problems should I look for? How do I tell if it has abs, hicas, etc?

I've been told that it has radiator problems. How much should I pay for this car?

that depends. you should have it compression tested and make sure there is no coolant in the oil. this will give a better idea of the condition of the motor. to tell if it has hicas look at the vin number. you can check it out at http://www.analogx.com/contents/vinview.htm and it will give the details about the car. it will say if it has hicas. if it has hicas it has lsd and abs.

Look for oil leaking from the front of the engine. It will stain the top of the plastic splash cover, around the block right behind the crank pulley, and the front of the oil pan. That would be a front oil seal. That one is NOT hard to fix.

Listen for rattles from the front of the engine. Timing chain is another that likes to go out. In particular the timing chain guides (which you are supposed to remove).
