As The title says what tubo should i get for my sr? I am using my 240 for drag racing only, and I want to make 350-400 hp.

when i was searching through old threads It seemd that everyone was using the GT2871R--.86 A/R. for drag...... It seems to spool up quickly which I really like, but i have not heard of anyone putting down more then 350hp. I would like the option to hit 400hp if i want to. Are there any other turbo's that you guys would suggest for the type of power goals im looking for and as little turbo lag as possible.

Thanks

With the right supporting mods, a good tune, and a GT2871r (.86) at 20 pounds, you shouldn't have any trouble pushing 400+whp on 93 octane pump gas. here is one such setup (DrifterProdigy85):

You got it. GT2871R. There is no need for another turbo for streetable SR's.

What 1/4 mile times should i expect with 350hp-400hp? I tried to search but i didnt find anything. I should be in the 11's right?

And If I install some eagle rods with some cp pistons will that up my horse power any? I figgure the pistons and rods would be lighter then the stock ones.... and common sense would tell me that it would have to add some power right??

are you serious? theres lots of people hitting 400 with the 2871r .86..... now there's even people hiting 400 with .64.... as long as you have the supporting mods and the right tuning... it shouldnt be a problem bob

Negative. Mid to low 12's unless you run drag radials.

I've seen tons of ppl run 11's with that turbo, all you need for 11's will be cams and a good tune. Check this out-This guy ran an 11.78 @ 133 with a 1.66 60ft. with his setup and then he added an enthalpy tune, AEM tru-boost controller and a GT2871R and ran an 11.011@124- Redtop SR20DET- Forced Performance Big28 Turbo- Megan Racing Turbo Manifold- Greddy VSPL FMIC kit - HKS SSQV BOV- Z32 MAFS- Nismo 555cc Injectors- Walbro 255lph - SAFC II- AEM Wideband- Drift Gear 3" Downpipe- 3" Cat-back with Apexi Muffler- 264 Cams- Comp Cam Springs- Greddy Rocker Arm Stoppers- Cometic Head Gasket- S14 VLSD- S14 SE Wheels- 225/50/16 Kuhmo Ecsta MXI summed his setup up to only the majors.
