me and my wife are looking to buy a used Murano, so far we have a found a superblack SE.... what kind of aftermarket support is there for this car? and is there any way to get rid of all the hideous chrome? suggestions and recomendations would be great.... thanks in advance!

I'm with you about the chrome on these cars. The chrome door handles and the god-awful grill I find to be particularly offensive. And the chrome shows up the most on the black ones for sure.

But then, I've always been a fan of dechroming (now called debadging) my own cars. Removing all the chrome trim from the sides and from around the windows on those old VW bugs I found made the cars look way better.

Ironically, there have been some recent discussions on another Murano site pertaining to ADDING chrome all over the exterior. The picture there of added chrome B pillars are truly unbelievable. Talk about a throwback to those old US made hunks-of-junk monsters from the 60's and 70's.

i came home from work this morning to find a SuperBlack Murano in my parking space... my wife had gone out yesterday and bought one... its an 06' SL fully loaded... now to get to work on getting all that chrome off!

Just be sure to study the cost of CVT replacement vs a conventional transmission. This $5,000 can be a shocker for those that choice a wounded one.

nice rides. superblacks are nice. agree on the overchromeing on these. our glacier white paint really helps down play alot of the shiny stuff whereas the black really makes it stand out.

i will try and get some pics up sometime.... i really want to lower the Murano and get some rims... but my wife wont let me touch it.... she will not drive my versa at all, due to it being lowered and loud! oh well someday.... do they make an exhaust system for the murano?
