I have searched and read a number of threads, and the 2002+ Q45 is starting to sound good to me, esp. in light of the good quality and the fast depreciation.
Are OEM parts prices insane, and aftermarket support strong, or generally fair?
One other thing is that owners of these cars are usually affluent and leave repairs to the stealership, but I currently have a 2003 Maxima TE, and I want to upgrade. I still like to do work myself on the car. Is the VK45DE DIY-friendly? The VQ35DE spark plugs were a PITA to do, but I did it, and I think I can take on the Q45 mechanicals if necessary.
Would love any input from DIY-supporting owners of the 2002+ models. Thanks in advance.
