Hi all. As quick background, I have an old Nissan Maxima, and have always wanted an Infiniti (for various reasons; look, style, quality, etc.).

I'm not looking to purchase a JX or QX, but reading reviews (from various magazines, websites, and consumer), and looking here, http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues, has somewhat turned me off.

Is the JX/QX not a 'quality' vehicle? Does it not live up to the Infiniti reputation?

Thank you very much for any thoughts!

I am in the same boat. What did you decide to do? If you purchased, are you satisfied?

We purchased a '14 QX60 3yr ago today. 25K on the car right now. other than a few visits for what I would call "minor" recall work, never had a single problem. Everything still works perfect today. We have loaded version with Nav, DVD, Tech, Touring, Premium packages so a lot of stuff that might go wrong, so we just purchased extended warranty that gets full warranty out to 7/2021 and 85K mi. I think any '14 or '15 would be a good purchase. We also just traded an '09 M35X, 7yr old, never had a single issue. Can't go wrong with Infiniti in my book

We bought a JX35 "Off-Lease" about 16 months ago - It's been in the shop over 20 times, more than $30,000 worth of Warrantee repairs and we still have several issues they can't fix. Infiniti won't stand behind it, the dealership won't stand behind it beyond repairs under warrantee. As I've told Infiniti Consumer Affairs, this is our 6th Nissan and Infiniti combined, and it will be our last. While I love my G IPL Coupe, I'm certainly never doing business with them again.

A little late on this reply but I think all things considered the JX is on par for Infiniti quality. I have 135K on my '13 JX and it runs fine. Changed the factory spark plugs last night simply because it called for them at 100K... The plugs pulled out smooth, the iridium tips weren't eroded, etc... Again, only from my own experience, other than the few factory recalls the car itself has been great. I plan to keep it another 100K...

Nice troll attempt
