Looking to buy a 2002 I35

Hey guys,

Obviously a newb here and know forums are a great place to find reliable information. I live in Columbus OH and am looking to buy an i35 in Chicago next week. It is an 02 with 100K or so. Looks to be in great shape and I just test drove another 02 so I know I love the car and want one. Just wondering if you guys could give me some things I need to take into consideration and things to look out for. Any extra info helps. I really don't want to make the trip if it is not worth it.

I'm was certified mechanic so can do most maintenance on my own just looking for any major problems.

Also, if someone is in the Chicago area and wants to go take a look at it for me I would be willing to buy them a case of their favorite beverage.

They are pretty bulletproof cars. Just make sure that the maintenance has been kept up, and it should last you another 100k miles easy. I'd also check car fax to be safe.

For @ $110, the seller can take it to a AAA car inspection and have the result sent to you. Of course that's more than the cost of a case of beer but it will give you a good idea about the condition of the car. The inspection fee can then be added to the final price of the car.
