Hey guys, I've just recently been looking into uprgrading the wheels on my 04' SE. I was looking at some 19's and just wanted to make sure I'm not going to run into any issues with the overall ride of the car. I've had some problems with the infamous "shimmy" in the past but ever since I had $12,000 worth of front end work done (thanks to a dear on the highway) the car seems to ride much better. Does anyone have any opinions on tire choices when going with the 19" wheels? Or any other advice for that matter?

On a side note, I've been looking at some black rims and if anyone out there has some black (rims) on black (paint) pics I'd love to see some pics!

Thanks in advance

my only recommendation is to look into the width/offset of the wheels. keeping that in mind you should be able to steer away from any rubbing in the rear. that is the only thing i have seen out of larger sized wheels on the 6th gens.

You will have no problems with 19's as long as you have the correct offset and right size tires. Plenty of peolel have gone with 22's with no issues...As far as ride, you will feel a bit more of the road with a lower profile tire. Do you plan to lower it as well? That gap up front is pretty nasty...

Anywas here's what you should be looking for:size: 19" x 8.5" offset: 35??mm (please confimr, should be right)bolt pattern: 5x114.3 tires: 245/40-19 V-rated or higher
