Depends on which spring he put on the oem shock. I've got Tanabe NF210 on the oem shock for nearly 4 years and now they are up to be changed. They last a long time. If he get a spring which doesn't lower too much with a good spring rate (higher than oem of course), his oem shock can last long.tristatesentra wrote:good point but if you do the lowering springs with the stock shocks, they will blow in a couple of months.best thing to do is the whole enchilada and not deal with problems later.
I have heard of people that have had aftermarket springs with stock shock and have lasted them a good while more like years. I just did the eibach's with the KYB's in one shot so I didn't cause myself a headache lolD3stro wrote:

These pictures were taken nearly 4 years ago. Damn my car looked clean back then. By now, the car sit a little bit lower. The only downside of the NF210 is when you get rear passengers, the spring rate ain't high enough, the rear suspension bottom easily.spamman wrote:Any chance you can send me some photos of your ride with the Tanabi springs and the approx. drop in height you saw from stock springs?
