Hey guys and gals,

I am looking for a taller rear end gear to run in the Silver State Classic Challenge. I have already swapped out my stock 3.53 gear for the 3.35 gear from and automatic Z.

I am looking for at least a 3.2 or lower number to run lower rpm at higher speeds. Ideally, I would like to find perhaps a 2.9 or something in that range so that I can achieve 200mph at reasonable engine rpms. I have not been able to find anything so far lower (taller) than 3.35.

Does anyone know where I can find anything like this?

Thanks in advance!

Cant help with the gears but love the Silver State run. Good luck with it. As an avid road racer myself (Viper Days and SCCA) I see you ran an RX7 in the 1994 Sebring. I will be at the Rolex 24 hour next week in Daytona. There are two 350z entries in the Koni series. Two of my old instructors will be in the Rolex race.

The Silver State is great. I have run the race 8 times now and I am hooked!

Yes, I drove a GTU Mazda RX7 in 1994. Great fun. How did you find that out? Driving the back straight at nightime with only the light from your headlights is a trip.

Will you be racing at the Rolex or spectating? I was on the crew for the same RX7 for the Daytona 24 Hour race in 1993 and got to drive the Sebring race in 1994, so I have seen it from several aspects. If you see Dave Russell there, say hello for me. I ran SCCA in Florida for 6 years.

Randy Pobst was one of my instructors at Sebring way back in 1989. Man, how time flies. Great to see he is at the top of his game even now.

A buddy and I are getting a team together to run the 25 Hours of Thunderhill this coming December. Any interest?
