There's always someone parting out a 240 in there. Good luck.

We have the KYB GR-2s in stock at $53.00 each. Why mess around with used?

They'll work w/ lowering springs better than old (or new) stock struts would. I wouldn't go too low with them though.

it is lowered 3 inthe back 2.75 in the front pritty much hammeredall the fluid blew out of the struts recently and now it sways up and down like crazy the exhaust hits the ground. do the gr2s lower it anymore or keep it the same height as stock, i cant go any lower what is so special about them? are the adjustable dampening?

no...gr2's although better than stock, are pretty much stock and not recommended for lowering. For that, it's advisable to get kyb agx or even better the one's i mention earlier koni "yellow" sport, both of which are adjustable and will fetch a pretty penny. Also, by lowering coil, I'm assuming you mean "high performance lowering spring", and not the usual lowering spring?, which I would not recommend using on anything.

Again, to lower the car and thus center of gravity, it will cost the $375 shipped for agx (currently on ebay, usually 390), or the higher alternative koni's (490-550) + some good lowering springs, like some reasonably priced espelir (150 ebay) or other higher priced.

I've got some GR2's on the front of my car and I'm gonna put a set on the rear too. I plan on matching 'em up with some Eibach Pro-Kit springs. We'll see how long they last. Hell, the GR2's are so cheap I don't really mind experimenting with them.

Got 'em from TireRack! :thumbup

well, i'm just going from what i've heard, but I've also seen a couple of ppl run them on the boards w/lowering springs and run them hard for quite some time. So perhaps they do last. Also, many ppl run them on the isuzu impulse awd turbos as a coilover strut.

I'm thinking that something reasonably mild like the Pro-Kits, H&R Sport or Suspension Techniques springs should work out. I'm sure Eibach and H&R had OE strut characteristics in mind when they chose the spring rates for their products anyway. Since the GR2 are a shade stiffer than OE, I'm hoping it'll work out. I'll let ya know!
