We generally tell ppl to have your alternator rebuilt by someplace local. They tend to better work and you'll have less problems with it later on down the road.

General Question. When you go to get a alternator rebuild, do you just tell the people that its from a 89 Pulsar NX SE?? Just wondering because I'm sure if you tell them its for a CA18det they would get kind of confused.

The internals should be the same as a 88-89 Pulsar SE.

I doubt they'll ask. The particular application shouldn't matter them. Also, if you ask them, they can often increase the amps that the alternator can put out.

Ryan, thats a good bit of info you just offered :) I was having charging issues for the past few months and now it seems to have gone away for a bit, but when my alternator takes a dump, I'll definately have them increase the amps, just because :)

Fusible Link in the fuse box behind the battery. There should be 2 or 3 large fuses with clear tops in there. I'll bet one or more are burned. And I'll tell you right now, they're expensive. I'd get a new friend....

Go to a junkyard, match the color, size and connection type of the fusible link to any other Nissan.
