Looking for some vaccum line help

is there a write up or a simple way to simplify this vacuum system it seriously is outrageous

i would love to clean up the engine bay and redo the vacuum, and get rid of that evap-can by the driver-side front light can anyone help

If you don't have to worry about emissions or inspections, the only line you really NEED is the distributor vacuum advance. You can cap off and remove everything else and your truck will still run okay.

nice so i can get rid of it all but that and run a vented gas cap and ill be fine ? good advice TY

I have about half my stuff capped off myself, some of the lines that run toward the back of the engine bay are still intact and I didn't feel like messing with them. Word to the wise, I remember reading something in the manual about the automatic transmission trucks picking shift points based on manifold vacuum as one of the defining features, so if you run an automatic transmission you may or may not want to look into that. Most the guys here have manuals though.

i don't run a vented cap... the metal line that goes from the tank to the front of the car for the evap can can be shortened wherever you want it and just run a breather on it
