Over the summer I bought 19" black rims with a chrome lip and after having them on for awhile I'm not to happy with how 19's fill out the gap and I'm looking to sell those and get some 20's. Been looking for a few days but cant really find the style I'm looking for so hopefully someone can help me out. I'm looking for something in the same style as coderedk's rims:

save some money and drop your coupe first. I'm on 19s and eibachs and my gap is pretty much filled up. Even if you get 20s you will still have a decent gap until you drop it. :bigthumb:

I have the money for the eibach's just don't have the time to buy them and put them on. How much does it cost to get rims powder coated?

So as not to screw up your odometer/speedometer, wouldn't you want to decrease your tire's profile when you increase wheel size? The gap should always remain the same, because the outer diameter should remain the same. You shouldn't be trying to get rid of the gap by making your wheels bigger.

Drop that sucker.

Agreed fully.

Here's on throttle gap in the rear.

TSW Thruxtons, 19X9.5 all around +35 with Toyo Proxes 4s 255/35/19. Close if not dead on to factory spec. The speedo is not off. If it is, it's by 1-3km/hr.

No rubbing.

OK NO NO NO lol

firstly The gap is not from the rims the gap will be a drop you can have 16's stockers and slam ur coupe and have no gap. What you really want is coilovers. They cost about $1000 plus install. If you want the rims you saw on the red coupe just buy his i think he might be selling them anyway ill text him in a min. Also if you want less gap and those rims they dont make 20's there 19's. Which is fine ill prove this to you with an ill pic of my boys g37 on 18s. All you need is a fatter tire and coils mainly coils you could have paper thin tires like me and have it slammed and have no gap

Also powdercoating coasts about 80-150 a rim depending on where you go

This is a g37 on air bag suspension with 18in rims 3.2 in lip front and 5.2in rear lip

yes his rim is touching his fender lol HELLAFLUSHHHHHHHHHH

Yo Corey...

Dont buy new rims just either drop the car with eibachs or lower it with coils... I had eibachs the gap is not that noticable...... if you want to have no gap then go with coils but "Codred" has coils thats why there is no gap....

But if you drive with coils at his height you will scrap everything...... and I mean everything its is impossible for me to go over a speed bump and not scrap the entire way... no matter how slow or sideways I go....

Id say get coils but the ride is a little rough, but worth it for the look :chuckle: :chuckle:

Reed, I might be in the DC area the last weekend of October. Maybe we can meet up if you're going to still be round-abouts Fairfax.
