i've been looking around for a few days (alright, weeks if not months) about an rb20 swap for my 96 se and i think i'm going to go though with it but i wanted to know if there are any other issues that come up with the s14's vs the s13's. most all the info i've found is for the s13 and the rb25 or 26 for the s14. is the wireing the same? same issues with the hood? same issues with the lhd steering shaft? i havent found much info from the search button so i figgured i'd post. mines odb2 so does that have any effect? does the exhaust line up? can i use sr intercooler piping and moddify it to run to the driver side, or would i be better using a universal intercooler kit, or even getting mandral bent piping from and exhaust shop and just painting it or getting it cromed, i was mostly looking for a write up.

and, last. some pictures would rock too so i can get an idea of how to run the intercooler piping if i'm going to have to do it custom

i'm sorta missing my seven now, this rb swap buisness has sort of got me stressed out.

hood clears, dp sometimes clears (depending on mount method), obd 2 will no longer function, exhaust will line up, use the effin r32 sidemount it bolts in.as for wiring its totaly diffrent than a s14.

i have a front mount i was planning to use if i can get it fixed. the bottom row was crushed so i cut it off and dropped it off at the machine shop today to have the holes on the end tanks welded up. and i planned on using the top hat mounts or the jgy mounts so if anything would clear they would i guess. what i was getting at for the wireing is if splicing the rb20 harness into the s14's would be the same (if i'm going to have a bunch of extra or different wires from the odb2) as rb20 and s13. if so then that would be all i need, and even if not i can probably figgure it out, it would just make life alot easer.

but thanks for the info, i was worried where i would get somewhere to make me a new dp.

was it hard to figgure out? its just a matter of looking at the pin layout of the factory ecu with the fsm and switching over the wires for everything to the pin layout for the rb20 on here right? i read on here someone had mentioned a rb20 into a s14 swap pdf but i couldnt find it anywhere i think it was on rb20det.com but web page is no longer working....
